Last Monday, PEL and Trihope sign on the installation satisfaction for 1200KV, 180KJ High voltage impulse generator system. This is a new stage for M/S PEL. Because it means she has the ability to produce and test a 220KV power transformer.

The utility model relates to a power supply device which simulates the impulse voltage such as lightning and switching overvoltage. It is mainly used in insulation impulse withstand voltage test, dielectric impulse breakdown test, and discharge test. Originally, it was only used to study the insulation performance of power equipment when subjected to atmospheric overvoltage (lightning stroke) and later used to study the insulation performance of power equipment when subjected to switching overvoltage. Therefore, for impulse voltage generator, it is required not only to produce lightning waveform on power equipment but also to generate switching overvoltage waveform. The destructive effect of impulse voltage depends not only on the amplitude but also on the steepness of wavefront. For some equipment, the truncated wave should be used to test. In addition, the impulse voltage generator can also be used as an important part of the nanosecond pulse power device; in high-power resistance beam and ion beam generator and carbon dioxide laser, it can be used as a power supply device.

The 1200KV/180KJ system which we provide to M/S PEL includes CDYH‐1200/180 Impulse Voltage Generator, FY‐1200/600pF Damped Capacitive Voltage Divider, JB‐1200/500pF Multiple Chopping Gaps Device, CCK‐2712 Computer Optical Fiber Control system, and Glaninger Circuit. Due to the epidemic influence, our engineer could not installation and commission at the customer side.  But our work is not stoped.  We created the WeChat group, whats group, e-mail group, etc for communication. Trihope being a connection bridge for both sides is responsible for BHT and PEL’s coordination work and service support.

Even it is a very difficult remote installation equipment but after Tripartite very professional hard work. The whole system starts officially working in this Monday. We are very proud of could cooperate with such excellent companies.
